Summer is just around the corner, so what better way to spend one of your two 15-minute daily breaks than with a sweet treat?

On Thursday, June 26, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.,  your local union will be offering free ice cream cones to members who come down to take their break with us by the Simcoe Park entrance. We’ll have cups for those who can’t have cones, and slushies will be available for members who can’t eat ice cream.

Our collective agreement gives us two paid 15-minute breaks each shift. Getting up from your workspace and focusing on something other than the work at hand helps keep us healthy.

For CMG members who are unable to join us on Thursday afternoon, we haven’t forgotten you! There will be cool treats (one per person) left in the freezers for you in the following locations after 3 p.m:

3rd floor kitchenette – closest to the blue (Wellington St.) elevators

4th floor kitchenette – by the burgundy (Front St.) and blue (Wellington St.) elevators

5th floor kitchenette – closest to the blue (Wellington St.) elevators

B2 floor kitchenette – closest to the blue (Wellington St.) elevators
