The Canadian Media Guild is a democratic trade union representing 5000 Canadian media workers across the country.

The CMG welcomes this announcement from the Liberal Government that reaffirms their commitment to Canada’s public broadcaster, strengthens our country’s media ecosystem and supports the survival of Canadian sources of information that nourish the democratic discourse of Canadians.

The CMG National Executive Committee will be examining the proposed budget closely to determine how it will impact its members before making any further comments.
