It’s critical to have a voice at the highest levels of our union who isn’t afraid to speak up and speak out. It’s also critical at a time of international financial uncertainty to have someone representing you who understands investments, finance – and the moves that corporations and hedge funds are making.
CWA Canada controls a great deal of dues paid by CMG members.
CWA Canada and CMG represent members who are paid by those corporations and hedge funds.
That deserves oversight from someone with the keen eye of a spreadsheet nerd.
That’s me. I am loud when it counts.
I have been a business and economics reporter for years and understand the intricacies of how money moves and where it moves.
I also have a keen understanding of our international structure, and how to work with our partners at the Communication Workers of America across the border. That is critical at a time of negotiations with national importance, in particular when it comes to artificial intelligence.
I’ve been a delegate to both CWA and CWA Canada conventions, the CMG’s national conventions, and have proudly represented the Prairies as your branch director for years.
I ask for your support as a delegate to our national and international counterparts.
In solidarity,
Anis Heydari
