Hello, my name is Derek Prosser. I am a Senior Broadcast Technologist working at CBC in Ottawa, in the Transmission division. I believe that I would be a good candidate for the CWA NRC because I am a long time union activist, having served on my Local Executive as Vice-President since 2017. I have attended three CMG conventions and am a past member of the National Health and Safety Policy Committee and a current member of the Job Evaluation Committee. Within Transmission, I am also a member of the Transmission Health and Safety Committee. I feel my unique experience both in Transmission and with a focus on health and safety would make me a good delegate to the CWA NRC. I bring a distinct background from working in the technical field which I think would be a positive addition to the CWA Canada National Representative Council.
