The Canadian Media Guild stands in solidarity with members affected by the closure of the Islington Printing Branch.

We have been informed that Postmedia has decided to close all flyer-printing operations across Canada following a feasibility study conducted by the employer.

According to the information provided to the union, the Islington plant is expected to cease operations effective July 10, 2026. The employer has confirmed in writing that severance will be paid to affected members.

This news is deeply difficult for the workers and families impacted. We recognize the years of work and dedication members have given to this operation and will continue to support affected members throughout this process.
