The Canada Industrial Relations Board has certified the CMG to represent employees at three Maritime Broadcasting System (MBS) stations in Saint John, New Brunswick. The Guild filed an application for certification earlier this spring for employees at K-100, 93 CFBC and 98.9 Big John FM.
The next steps will be to elect an executive, name a bargaining committee and begin the process of negotiating a first collective agreement with the employer. We’re optimistic that talks can begin early in the fall.
