Arbitrator Pam Chapman has ruled that CBC violated the former Unit 2 collective agreement when it set travel allowances that were lower than the federal Treasury Board rate at the Athens Olympics in 2004.

A second grievance on the same issue involving former Unit 1 members was held pending this ruling. The Guild will seek a payment immediately for all members from both units whose allowances were underpaid in Athens. We will update you as soon as possible.
