CBC Radio One team wins journalism excellence award for reporting on labour issues

Congratulations to the CBC Radio One team that won a journalism award for excellence in Labour reporting at the annual CAJ conference this month in Halifax.

CBC News’ Dave Seglins, Gord Westmacott, John Nicol, Heather Evans, Carla Turner, and Jeremy MacDonald took the CAJ/CWA Labour Reporting for the must-see Rail fatigue in Canada – A silent peril which aired on CBC’s The Current.

According to organizers, the award “recognizes exemplary reporting on Labour issues in Canada – Journalism that goes beyond a strike or a lock-out and explores impact on policy, law and  public awareness. The excellence in Labour Reporting Award is supported by CMG and our parent union CWA Canada in partnership with CAJ.
