APTN and CMG to meet with federal conciliator in early October

Your Canadian Media Guild bargaining committee and APTN management will be meeting October 4 to 6 in Winnipeg with a federally appointed conciliator. It is hoped the conciliator will help us reach an agreement on renewing the CMG ? APTN editorial unit collective agreement.

The bargaining committee will also be holding a general membership meeting for all APTN editorial staff on Tuesday, October 4, 2006. The committee will provide members with an update on bargaining and the conciliation, and be available to answer any questions.

The general membership meeting will be at 7:30 pm CDT (8:30 pm EDT, 5:30 pm PDT)
on Tuesday, October 4 at the Delta Winnipeg, 350 St. Mary Ave. Members located outside of Winnipeg will be able to participate via teleconference. Instructions on participating by teleconference will be sent out to bureau members later this week.
