Your CMG bargaining committee met with AAC management this week for the first time since the sale of AAC’s specialty TV operations was announced. Although we had originally planned some negotiation sessions in January, AAC asked to cancel those sessions so they could meet with CanWest Global and discuss how the impending change in ownership might change the bargaining process.
AAC’s team has confirmed that their bargaining mandate and objectives remain the same, so negotiations have resumed and will continue as before.
We are holding a general membership meeting to give you an update on bargaining so far and to take your questions. The meeting will be held Thursday, March 1 at 7:30 pm at the Marriott hotel across the street. We hope you will take the time to attend.
