Guild denied right to speak at CBC board meeting

Lise Lareau, president of the Canadian Media Guild, will not be allowed to speak before the CBC board during their meeting on Wednesday, according to a letter sent today by CBC president Robert Rabinovitch.

Nevertheless, Lareau is in Montreal at the hotel where the meeting will take place and has told board members she is available to speak with them individually. She is urging them to intervene to ensure a fair deal and an end to the lockout as soon as possible.
