Guild leaders have chosen six members from across the country to join the union’s CBC branch president Marc-Philippe Laurin, staff representatives Dan Oldfield and Glenn Gray in negotiations with the Corporation. Negotiations will get underway this fall, in advance of the expiry of the current agreement next March 31, 2014.
The committee was selected from among two dozen applicants who responded to the membership-wide call for applications based on criteria established by the branch executive and local Guild presidents.
The members on the committee are:
Wil Fundal – BC Bureaus
Marianne Malo-Chénard – Edmonton
Allan Gofenko – Yellowknife
Michael D’Souza – Toronto
Elaine Janes – Toronto
Harry Mesh – Gander-Grand Falls
Other members who put their names forward have agreed to serve on sub-committees if they are needed during negotiations. On behalf of all the CBC members, a sincere thank you to all members who put their names forward for this important job.
And remember that there is still time to tell us what is important to you by filling out the member’s bargaining survey available on line until the end of the day tomorrow (Friday). Click here!
