Congratulations to CMG and CWA/CSA Canada members across the country, and a big thank you to the Saint John community, who have all been doing everything they can to give their support to striking CMG members at K-100, 98.9 Big John FM and CFBC in Saint John, New Brunswick. The seven announcers and support staff went on strike on June 25 to fight for a fair first agreement from their employer, MBS Radio.
“We went through the same thing a while back, and we just remembered how encouraging it was to have the help of everyone across the country, that’s one of the things that kept us going at the time,” wrote John Rufh, secretary-treasurer of CWA Canada Local 30400 in British Columbia in a letter to the strikers that accompanied his local’s donation. “So it was easy to come together and organize something for our brothers and sisters at Saint John.”
Thank you for all your support:
