During the last round of negotiations between the CMG and CBC/Radio-Canada, the parties agreed that an effective program to manage employees’ performance and to provide development opportunities is essential to the future success of the organization. They also acknowledged that the Performance Management and Staff Development (PMSD) process requires active leadership support both from the Corporation and the union. To this end, the parties agreed to work together to improve the Performance Management and Staff Development process for those employees represented by CMG.
The newly constituted CBC/Radio-Canada – CMG National Joint PMSD Committee will be meeting within the next few weeks. We expect the PMSD process to roll-out for CMG employees in the fall.
You may have seen other communications related to the new Talent Management tool and to the roll-out of Performance Management and Staff Development within the organization. We want to assure CMG-represented employees and their managers that we are working together to ensure we meet the commitments outlined in the collective agreement.
