Hello, my name is Kat McMorrow 🙂

I’ve been on the CWAC executive as a CMG member at large since 2023. But before that, I attended the National Representative Councils in 2018 and 2022. Through these experiences, I’ve come to better understand the union workings at that level, with all the historical context, who the players are and how to diplomatically approach cooperation. I want to ensure that our interests are being prioritized at this level. To that end, I will continue to advocate for our members there through an empathetic and solutions based approach. Things have gotten a bit complicated and I want to help simplify as much as possible. As a union, we need to be working together. As the president of the largest location unit of the largest branch of local 30213, I feel uniquely qualified to represent us.

I have been volunteering steadily with CMG since 2021, and have held several positions including: Toronto location President, BEC Toronto Director, National Joint Committee, and CBC/SRC Bargaining Committee.
