   1. Kept mental health and workplace fairness at the forefront of the Guild’s agenda.

A Clear Vision for Now and the Future of the Guild

1. Strengthening Public Broadcasting

• Relentlessly advocate for a multi-year funding model for CBC/Radio-Canada, insulated from political fluctuations and annual budgets.

2. Confronting Digital Dominance

• Fight for fair compensation frameworks to ensure Canadian media organizations are properly paid when global tech giants use their content.
• Promote media literacy to safeguard the essential role of journalism.

3. Prioritizing Mental Health & Well-being

• Address trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a specific occupational hazard for media workers.

4. Ensuring Equitable & Transparent Workplaces

• Work to end the misuse of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) in settlement agreements.
• Work to provide a safe and welcoming workplace for all employees.

5. Developing a Proactive AI Strategy

• Establish clear ethical principles for the use of Artificial Intelligence to maintain trust, accuracy, and copyright protections.
