Celebrating caring, courageous volunteers at the CMG Convention

Every two years at the CMG National Convention we like to thank all the wonderful volunteers who are committed to working on your behalf to improve working conditions and who are at the heart of our success as a union. You can help choose the nominees for this recognition in two ways:

1.    Nominate a union volunteer for our wall of recognition Is there someone who has helped you resolve a personal issue, guided you through a stressful period, or shared information that has made your work life more satisfying, or even intervened when you suffered a crisis? We want to thank that union volunteer. Please nominate a colleague for CMG recognition by sending in details (including photo), and they will be part of our “honour roll” wall of recognition. Send your nomination to rob@popjournalism.ca by April 2, 2014.

2.    Nominate a colleague for the Guild’s Meritorious Service Award
At every Convention, we single out one exceptional long-time volunteer who has given up significant personal time and energy for years working on union issues that improve your working conditions and lives. We are extremely grateful to these dedicated and caring volunteers. Please click here to read the criteria for the Meritorious Service Award and nominate the CMG volunteer you would like us to thank with this award. Send your nomination to info@cmg.ca  by April 2, 2014.
CMG staff and National Executive Committee members are not eligible for this award.

This year, the biennial CMG Convention will be held in Toronto May 23-25.
