Nominations for the position of Treasurer on the CBC/Radio-Canada Branch Executive Council closed at 5 pm ET on June 3. As the only nominee, Jonathan Spence is hereby elected by acclamation. Jonathan will serve until December 31, 2010, the end of the current BEC mandate.

We also need to issue a correction: in our call for nominations for this position, we indicated that Ralph Legare was retiring from the Corporation. This was incorrect; we apologize for any confusion caused by our error.
