March 12, 2009 – Members of the senior executive team, including Hubert T.Lacroix, Sylvain Lafrance and Richard Stursberg met with senior representatives of all CBC/Radio-Canada unions on Thursday March 12, 2009 to confidentially discuss the Corporation’s financial challenges.

The unions were informed of CBC/Radio-Canada’s financial problems and given an overview of the principles for minimizing the impact on people, programs and services at a high level, which will be further detailed at a later date.

Senior executives committed to meet with the unions again, following the Board of Directors’ meeting on March 16-17, to discuss details and to consult with them about the business plan implementation.
