CMG members are mourning the loss of long-time colleague and friend Roger Abbott. Roger died on the weekend after a 14-year battle with leukemia.

“Roger was a true friend of the union,” says CMG vice president Lise Lareau. “He was a talented actor and comedian and also an ally in defending the rights and livelihoods of people working in the broadcasting industry. He always showed such respect for his colleagues.”

The CMG will make a donation in Roger’s memory to Easter Seals Ontario, in keeping with the wishes of his family.
