The Guild and CBC have reached a settlement on a grievance filed last summer over the hiring of an external candidate before posting the vacancy. The CBC and the Guild have agreed on the following:

“The Corporation absolutely respects and will abide by the language regarding Posting of Vacancies. Specifically, the corporation agrees it will only award a position to a candidate after completing the posting and boarding process required by Article 36 (Posting of Vacancies) and Article 37 (Hiring and Promotion) of the Collective Agreement.”
