The Canada Industrial Relations Board has scheduled a hearing for October 25, 26 and 27 to rule on the Canadian Media Guild’s accusation of unfair labour practice by Alliance Atlantis Communications. The case will be heard by CIRB vice-chair Edmund Tobin.
We look forward to this opportunity to resolve the current dispute about the 2006 salary increase, which we believe was unfairly denied to members of the Guild bargaining unit.
In the meantime the Guild and AAC are continuing to negotiate a first collective agreement.
If you have any questions about the CIRB hearing process, please contact a member of the CMG executive or write to CMG staff representative Keith Maskell at keith@cmg.ca.
