Interested in getting involved in national labour issues

Every three years, the Canadian Labour Congress holds a week-long convention and this year it takes place at Toronto’s Convention Centre from Monday May 26 to Friday May 30.??The CLC is the senior labour body in this country.? Most major unions belong to it.? The CMG is a member by virtue of its affiliation with CWA Canada.?? The CMG’s national executive has decided to send up to six delegates to the convention.
So, if you’re interested in attending, please send a note to lise@cmg.ca?indicating who you are, where you work,?your position within CMG if applicable and why you’re interested in attending the convention by end of day,?Wednesday April 16.? Please?let us know?whether you think you can be released from work for the week, or if you live in Toronto and can’t be released the full week, how much time you can take to attend. The CMG’s national executive will select the six delegates.
If you are chosen, the Guild will cover the costs for your lost time from work, your registration?and your expenses.

National President
