The Canadian Media Guild supports the TVO branch members who rejected the memorandum of understanding that would have waived the conversion rights of temporary workers – achieved during the last round of negotiation – until the expiration of the collective agreement on October 27, 2025.

The CMG will begin preparing for the next round of bargaining with TVO next month.

The CMG will be meeting with the employer in 30 days to discuss results of the branch vote.

Half of the CMG members of the TVO bargaining unit are currently temporary workers. Giving these union members a path to permanent work was the primary issue during the last round of bargaining.
