CMG is looking for instructors

Do you have an interest in adult education, designing course material and facilitating training?

CMG is seeking members who have a desire to teach in a union environment.

Send your resume along with a statement to education@cmg.ca including any pertinent experience in training/facilitating as well as relevant skills that can be beneficial to our diverse membership; social media proficiency and bilingualism are a plus. The CMG Education Committee will review all applications and select two participants who will attend a training course for instructors.

This Instructor Training course offered by the Canadian Labour Congress will give participants a background in understanding how adults learn and what type of techniques are most effective within an adult learning environment. It will run July 20-25 in Port Elgin, Ontario; participants’ expenses including course costs, travel, per diem and leave will be covered.

The course is a prerequisite for facilitating union education courses.

Send your application to education@cmg.ca with Instructor Training in the subject line by Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 5 p.m. (ET).
