The information below is from CBC/Radio-Canada and contains links to virtual healthcare through Maple. Maple connects members to medical practitioners quickly and provides doctors’ notes at no cost if you create your account through the link below.
Virtual healthcare services are offered to all employees of CBC/Radio-Canada and their eligible dependents. Employees can register with Maple through the mobile app or at getmaple.ca/cbcrc (make sure the page has the CBC/Radio-Canada gem) by using the employee’s last name and employee ID.
You can search for “Maple” or “virtual health” on iO to get connected or go to the link found under the Useful Info menu at the top of iO. It is also a provider under the Well-being portal offered to all benefits-eligible employees and their eligible dependents. For more information on the Well-being portal and virtual healthcare services, please consult this FAQ.
Click here for an overview of the steps to take to talk to a Canadian-licensed general practitioner within minutes, 24/7, via text, video or phone to get medical advice, specialist referrals, diagnosis and treatment, including prescriptions and labs.
If you are having difficulty securing an appointment with your physician, a Maple physician will assess your medical condition and, if appropriate, will provide you with a sick note for a short period of time. If required, this will give you time to meet with your physician.
We recommend you create your account with Maple as soon as possible before you actually need the service. Click here for instructions on how to share your virtual healthcare coverage with your dependents.
