Both the French and English versions of the 2024 – 2027 CBC/Radio-Canada-CMG Collective Agreements are now finalized and posted online. You can find the French CA here and the English CA here.
Please bookmark the link to access the current CBC/Radio-Canada-CMG Collective Agreement for future use, or find it on cmg.ca. Some paper copies will be made available in your location in the next few weeks; please ask your Local Union President if you would like one.
This marks the first time that our collective agreement is now written in gender neutral language throughout, in both official languages. Creating inclusive language while ensuring no rights are disrupted, especially in a gendered language like French, was a challenge. Despite efforts made by the union to expedite the finalization of our current contract, management delayed its progress. We have learned from this experience and plan to approach the finalization and translation of the contract differently in future.
