CMG delegates to CWA Canada National Representative Council – Election to be held February 18 – 23

Twelve members have been nominated to contend for a position to represent CMG at the upcoming CWA Canada National Representative Council that will be held in Ottawa on April 24 – 25, 2026. During that time, new members of the CWA Canada executive team will be elected, including three members at large from the CMG. At present, we are represented at that table by former CMG national president Annick Forest and CBC/Radio-Canada Branch Toronto LEC President Kat McMorrow.

To aim for our standard of 5-branch representation,  the following delegates are automatically elected: Natasha Bulowski of CNO and Sangeeta Patel of TVO

To determine the remaining seven (7) delegates who will represent us at the convention, a vote will be held through the CMG online voting system, from Wednesday, February 18 at 9 a.m. ET to Monday, February 23 at 3 p.m. ET. All CMG members in good standing can vote for up to seven (7) candidates.

When polls open on Wednesday, February 18, you will receive an email with your 9-digit CMG Identification Number. You will also receive your 6-number randomly generated Pass Code.   You will also receive the link to the voting system.

The following twelve candidates are vying for the remaining seven (7) vacant delegate positions.

If you experience any difficulty voting, please write to  vote@cmg.ca.

The results will be allocated so that the final delegation will represent at least three branches and will be released as quickly as possible after the polls close.
